Danish Shellfish Centre, Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) at Technical University of Denmark performs research in all aspects of mussel production and is scientific advisor to the Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark. Development of mussel farming and in specific mitigation farming is a core key research field for the Danish Shellfish Centre.

Tasks in MuMiPro
DTU Aqua is the overall project manager and leads the development of new husbandry methods in mussel culturing (WP1).
Further, DTU Aqua will set up pilot scale production in a number of Danish coastal areas.
